In this election year, anti-immigrant politics have had a tragic resurgence, with candidates for major office espousing hate and nativists across the country feeling emboldened. Across the country, this has produced fear and anger in immigrant communities, where eleven million people still live without papers and in the shadows. Eliana Fernández will discuss what that fear looks and feels like here in New York, particularly in the suburbs, and how our communities can fight back.
